Horseman: A Tale of Sleepy Hollow by Christina Henry

5.0

Of course, I was going to love this! A) It’s Christina Henry, B) It’s a retelling/ twist C) ‘Tis the season. This one was on par with the excellence of her Peter Pan retelling “Lost Boy: The True Story of Captain Hook”. It has also received 5 stars. Horseman was creepy and spooky but also have a “happy” ending, in a non-traditional or expected way. I will admit that the whole time, I thought I had figured out the horseman’s identity but I was wrong in the end. Which is a good thing cause it’s disappointing when I have the whole thing figured out halfway through the story. I shouldn’t have underestimated a master storyteller.
