I've let this sit on my Kindle for well over 2 months, thinking it was actually a book. Yeah, um, it's not. It's a novella, and it took me only 1 hour to read it.

I liked the storyline, because reading about Spitfire pilots in WWII is interesting to me (I'm an unusual woman in that way), and the story itself was interesting. But I had to strain my brain a bit to try and connect the dots to figure out how this tied in with the real Outlander story. I know that the main characters here, Jerry and Dolly, are Roger's parents -- but I couldn't put together some of the rest of the timeline, and what was happening in the Claire/Jamie timeline, and especially who the two night-wanderers were at the end who 'helped' Jerry. I assume they were Roger (as his older self, traveled backward) and maybe young Iain, but I'm not sure. I guess it's been way too long since I've read the relevant books in the Outlander series, which isn't any wonder, with how long it takes Gabaldon to turn out a book :-/

Anyhow -- this was a very quick, fun read. At the end of the day, I enjoy Gabaldon's writing style, and this is no exception.
