Can You Take It? (Deluxe Edition)
by Jeneane O'Riley
Well that was dissappinting...
It physically pains me to have to give this a lower review. The first 3 books were easily 5 stars for me and im not sure what happend.
Caly and Mendax were phenomenal characters and I was beyond excited for the final chapter of this series only to find out that they are barely in the background. We would jump months and years and only get a quick little blurb about what was happening in their life. Leaving me wanting way more.
Instead the book follows Eli and Ana. While I was happy to get to finally meet Ana and have all the lose ends tied together, it felt extremely rushed. The 10 teirs that they have to go through were predictable and fell flat especially towards the end. Where I liked Eli in the first 3 books, I became increasingly annoyed with his decisions throughout this book and it just didn't make sense with his character.
The only reason I pushed through was so i could be done with the series, but everything I loved about the first 3 books was just gone. 💔
