I'm a little surprised I even bothered to read this one considering When Dimple Met Rishi was a knockoff of Born Confused and With Love From Twinkle was just flat out Bad.
But I did and I'm really glad because I genuinely enjoyed this one.
Parts of it were a bit over the top with the "rawr rawr girl power" and despite the main character being fat, there was still a bit of internalized fatphobia (she's fat despite being an athlete vs. other people who may be fat because they're lazy?), But overall it tried really hard and it was SO refreshing to read about a bigger Desi girl who is desirable.
3.5 personally, but rated up for being a YA.
