The Scary Book of Christmas Lore: 50 Terrifying Yuletide Tales from Around the World by Tim Rayborn

dark informative medium-paced

3.0

Folklore stories from around the world that are about darker creatures of Christmas, such as Krampus and the Wild Hunt, yes, but also a bunch of folklore tales I'd never heard of before. They range from "basically like this other guy, except called this" to having their own unique backstory and lore (Hans Trapp was a favorite new one for me). Nearly every story has its own artwork too, which really adds to the overall vibe. I dig it.
