An enjoyable read. I really liked the characters and their relationship. The scenario was interesting, but there were several moments which were quite contrived and teenage me would have loved, but adult me found myself rolling my eyes! There was also a misunderstanding that could have been cleared up with a simple conversation as the final plot point to be resolved (a trope I find lazy and frustrating!) but it was a lovely read and I will read more by the author. I thought he exploration of an emotionally coercive relationship and the resulting PTSD was really well written.
