I love the anime, and I have been wanting to read the manga for a while now. There are so many volumes out and at 10$ each, it adds up. Luckily my library has E-copies of them so I'm reading them that way, until I can afford to just buy them all. (maybe they'll make a bindup or something.

But this is such a good story. Yona starts off as a spoiled pampered princess, the only child of King Il. She has a very sheltered view of the world and doesn't really have any worries. Until something tragic happens to her leaving her reasonably shellshocked. This volume leaves off on a really good cliffhanger. I have volume 2 on hold at the library, I hope I don't have to wait too long.

It's hard to review this, since each volume is so short, and I already know what's going to happen. Once I catch up to the point the anime leaves off, I might do a bulk review for those volumes on my blog ( I think it's 8 or 9 volumes). There will be comparisons to the anime, unavoidable since I saw it before reading this and have watched it a bunch.
