Helena Hunting goes a little wild on the nicknames, and so many of her characters are intertwined. I loved Nate and Essie, and really loved Flip as a friend for Nate (talk about growth from If You Hate Me until now!), but some of the tension was a little forced. Tristan and Flip lean hard into the therapy thing, and then it takes almost no work to resolve the 3rd act breakup. Overall, I would have liked to see a little more tension between the characters, but they had good chemistry and I gave it 4 stars.
