Kingdom of Ash by Sarah J. Maas

2.0

1.) I love Celaena, I wanted to read about her but instead I got Aelin and I didn't like her as much as Celaena.

2.) I usually don't mind different POVs, but if it is a sudden shift from book 3 onwards then it leaves me frustrated. I was in this journey with Celaena for 2 whole books and then you just can't throw other people at me.

3.) Aelin was made to look to have the most powerful magic and yet it was taken away from her at the penultimate time, and the focus was on Yerene being the "real" savior. Also I feel Dorian's magic was much better, he could mold it to whatever he liked and that made Aelin look very one dimensional.

4.) It was tooo damn long. The fight sequences were becoming repetitive. Added to it since I already disliked random characters being thrown at me, I had to literally skim through most parts.

5.) I had no connection to Yerene suddenly being the focus for last 2 books and I hated it when she was sort of made a star at the end, like wth I wanted to read about Celaena/Aelin not her.
