This was a decent read! As it’s a classic, I’m happy that it’s on my list of books that I’ve finished. It was written in the 1800s and the language was a bit difficult to follow but overall a good story. Some parts dragged on a bit in my opinion.
My favorite quote from the book (from Jane, relating to Mr. Rochester):
“You are no ruin, sir- no lightning-struck tree: you are green and vigorous. Plants will grow about your roots, whether you ask them or not, because they take delight in your bountiful shadow; and as they grow they will lean towards you, and wind round you, because your strength offers them so safe a prop.”
