As much I LOVE Carry On, I think Wayward Son is even better! Now we're away from Watford, it sheds the last of the Harry Potter comparisons and becomes even more it's own thing: the world is expanded, the characters have their horizons broadened, meet new people, their assumptions and worldviews challenged. Everything is deepened, new atagonists and problems emerge and you and Simon, Baz and Penelope all learn that life still goes on after the happy ending.
But that ending! Whilst the story of this book is brought to a close, I hope that there's a possibilty of a third book in the future, otherwise that is an incredibly evil place to end it! XD
