Some disappointing things in this book: A very unsatisfying ending. No major conflict is resolved. It's as if the author took a book and cut it in half. Doesn't work well as a stand alone novel.

Also, I don't think the family issues are believable. Sidney has never done anything to make her family discount her version of certain events in the past. I can't understand why they would alienate her after she told them of the horrible things that she endured.

I probably won't be reading the sequel.
