The Sound of a Wild Snail Eating by Elisabeth Tova Bailey

emotional hopeful reflective slow-paced

5.0

As someone who has struggled with my health the past few years, sometimes being completely bedridden, I found this book so deeply affirming and cried my way through the whole
thing. My own relationship with nature has been deepened and completely changed by my illness, and I loved reading about it from someone else’s perspective. Also I read in an NPR article that Elisabeth Tova Bailey said she had no desire to write about her illness, but was motivated to write a biography to say thank you to the snail, which also made me cry. I recommend this book 1000%
