Broken Angels by Richard K. Morgan

4.0

Season 2 of the Netflix show deviated completely from this book. The only similarities are the appearance and abilities of Kovacs new sleeve, and the existence of a military character names Carrera. The actual plot is totally different, and I can only describe it as Stargate if everyone is slowly dying of radiation poisoning, and then a hard turn into X Files with the danger of real death. Still the same graphic sex and violence, and no one trusting anyone.

Other themes that come up are the ethics of the military industrial complex, and whether borrowing tech that you didnt develop is really a good idea.
