Mennonite in a Little Black Dress: A Memoir of Going Home by Rhoda Janzen

2.0

This was an interesting book... the premise sounded really interesting but the book fell a little flat. The story was very disjointed and repetitive. She made a lot of the same jokes through out the book. It was more of a collection of random stories than a cohesive memoir. I think the book lacked direction and needed to be more unified in a theme or at least in a chapter. Each chapter had random stories and she didn't really say why those stories were all connected or why they were all in one chapter. It's a quick read and relatively entertaining but I was a little disappointed.
