This book is written in an almost poetic way. Its way out of my comfort zone but I truly enjoyed both Part 1 and Part 2. The book within a book and the blurred lines between the real and the imagined became too much to focus on near the end, and I lost interest at that point. I found this to be more a story of a broken family than a story about the border, which was a bit of a surprise and disappointment for me. I was always waiting for the other shoe to drop so to speak. They just drove and drove and drove and never got anywhere
