This book is a FREQUENT re-read for me. Frequent. I LOVE this book.
I read this series for the first time years ago and this book is one of my absolute favorites from it. I loved Sally from the get go. I love that she’s all about mischief and that she’s funny and loving. And Galen and Vance *swoon*. I love them so much.
The sexy times in this book are off the charts. The mystery bits are exciting and everything Sally goes through just sticks with me. I’m so utterly happy when she gets her happily ever after.
I love the Shadowlands. I love the Masters and Mistresses. I love the subs. I love the writing.
This one is in third person which I have to admit I prefer. Nothing wrong with first person, but I feel like you get more description with third person and I love that.
Overall, this is just a fantastic book. I’ll always re-read it. I’ll always randomly think of bits of it and have to read it again. This books and Protecting His Own are the two from this series I always randomly gravitate to. Not just because the steam is off the charts, but because I genuinely love the story around the steam.
