It's such a beautiful story about family and friendship, and how complicated they can be. All characters are flawed in different ways, which makes them and the book more human. They were annoying sometimes as well, but that was just a part of the book. 
I also cried a lot while reading this book, and I basically never cry, so prepare for an emotional roller coaster.
