Radio Silence by Alice Oseman

4.0

I got a sense of realness from this book that was refreshing. It was slow to start but picked up for me about a quarter of the way through. I enjoyed the social commentary aspect. It was mild in comparison to the fantasy books I read a lot of, but touched on modern ideals about the pursuit of happiness for this generation and breaking the social norms that our parents grew up with. Oseman is definitely a forward thinker, and I respect that in an author. I also appreciated the diversity and LGBTQ friendly characters. Not my new absolute favorite, but definitely worth a read!
