What You Wish for by Katherine Center
3.0
This book is so interesting because I did enjoy reading it throughout the entire time, and I love Katherine Center’s writing but I didn’t really love the components of the story. I don’t think I fully knew what it was about before going in (and that’s on me, I should have looked up trigger warnings) and the first couple chapters were a bit jarring. I didn’t dislike it, I just wish I’d known what it was before going in. I also didn’t love the main characters (as individuals) and wanted more from their relationship. What we got from the relationship was cute (enemies to lovers, second chance, and a bit instalovey), I just wish we had gotten more from them. I do feel like the story did a good job of fleshing the characters out and making them feel like real people. I also liked the setting of the story and the community with the school. I’m still not sure how I fully feel about the ending of the story because there was a lot. I adore Katherine Center’s writing, I just don’t think this is my favorite (but it’s still good). 👤🤕📈🌤
