We asked for a Fall Away Spin-Off series and Penelope Douglas delivered. OH MY GOD did she deliver.
It was so unexpected and different in so many ways and yet it has the undeniable charm of the Fall Away series.
Hawken is so different from Penelope's heroes, that I'm used to. Yet he's unmistakable one of her heroes. It's absolutely amazing how she woven the traits of his parents into his character.
Aro is somehow a typical "Douglas" heroine. And yet different. Her connection to Hawken and how their relationship grows throughout the story is brilliant.
This book was unputdownable, even though I had to from time to time. It's a perfect page turner that sucks you right into its world and only lets you go, when you are done. Can't wait to continue this series!
