Catching Fire by Billie Lustig
5.0

Catching Fire is one of my anticipated reads!! Chasing Fire book #1 must be read first!! I was dying to know what was going to happen next! Hence, Chasing Fire ended on a cliffhanger!! And I'm so happy that Billie Lustig decided to change the release date to an earlier date! Oh, boy!! Billie Lustig didn't fail to surprise me!! What an epic conclusion to Callie and Kane's story!!! The prologue left me with having so many questions! It was most certainly a fantastic start to this amazing book. And as the storyline begin to unfold, the events left me speechless; I was captivated, I couldn't put this book down! There were a couple of plot twists that surprised me, and I finished this book in one setting!! It was an exhilarating experience. Callie as always, is a feisty character; she's intelligent, smart and with her quick thinking she can turn the most difficult situations into her advantage. Callie is on the run. There was slight misunderstanding, that caused her to go into hiding from the person who could protect her from anyone and anything, Kane. And Kane, although he is angry and heartbroken from Callie's sudden disappearance, he is ever more fiercely devoted to protect her. At first, both of them are desperately wanting to hate each other. But with the chemistry and undeniable tension that they have, it's unlikely to happen. Personally, the chemistry between these two is even more heated in Catching Fire. It's an addictive, fast paced, action packed read!! I loved the interactions between Callie and Kane's brother Laim. They really did started to get along in this book.

Reign was a definitely a wild card! I didn't expect myself to love his character so much!Reign is an old flame from Callie's past. Reading the scenes/chapters he was featured in, were one of my highlights. Reign was at the right place at the right time, when Callie needed the help the most. And just like Kane, Reign is not the person you want to double cross.  One of the down sides of fictional characters, is that unfortunately they aren't real. Ahhh..I need a Reign in my life. And I'm ecstatic to see that I will be seeing more of the Wolfe brothers!! Cannot wait to read The Bosten Wolves!!!

The Fire Duet is one of my favorite duets! And I'm so happy to have discovered Billie Lustig's work! If you love strong willed, sassy and badass heroines, then you should definitely read The Fire Duet.
