Have you ever wanted to ask Lady Tremaine why she treated Cinderella so poor after Cinderella's father died? Serena Valentino takes us in a new journey to learn more about the "villains" in Cinderella story, and what turned them into "villains" to begin with.

Are Villains born or are they made? This is what we get to discover through the whole series, focusing on Lady Tremaine in this one. It's not hard to understand why she did what she did, she didn't deserve half of it, and getting to know her point of view is just fantastic. Cinderella wasn't that good, Lady Tremaine wasn't that bad, Anastasia and Drizella weren't that ugly, this and more revelations are explained throughout the whole book, keeping us hooked from the very beginning.

Cinderella is my favorite princess and getting to learn more about the other side of the story is just marvelous.

This book is more Character-driven than some past books: it focuses completely on the characters it's about (in this case Lady Tremaine) rather than the secondary story happening at the same time (the Odd Sisters adventures).

Totally recommend. 5/5
