Such a thrilling read! Nishita Parekh has crafted a gripping locked room mystery set in the Houston area during Hurricane Harvey. Follow recently divorced, single mom Jia as she tries her best to provide a stable life for her son, Ishaan, while ALSO dealing with an impending natural disaster. While sheltering in place with family, watch as everything slowly unfolds from dark family secrets to murderous schemes. While this book meant a bit more to me since I'm from Houston and lived through Hurricane Harvey, it'll be a captivating read for anyone looking for a fresh addition to the mystery/thriller genre.
