The Love of My Afterlife by Kirsty Greenwood
1.0
UK romance sure is like a different genre altogether. Look, it wasn't bad. It just didn't go like I hoped it would. The plot twist wasn't disguised enough and I saw it coming a mile away. Some of the characters (Merritt ehem and honestly, to a degree, Delphie herself) are obnoxious and I simply didn't empathise with them. And overall it just lacks something for me to consider this a good romance. Great character development, yes, but romance...
The more I think about this book the angrier I get. I've downgraded from three to one star because with a bit of distance the plot and characters left a bitter aftertaste that I am not enjoying at all.
