A good gothic mystery with romance, ghosts, villians, and heroes. I enjoyed the narration of this book as it made the suspense more thrilling. It is set during the WWI era and reflects some men's attitudes toward women that are not accepted in today's society---this history makes me more appreciative of advancements women have made. I enjoyed the read.
