I wanna say this is my favourite mafia romance but I have a feeling the next books are gonna prove me wrong.

My favourite thing about this book has to be Angelo. My man was dark, mysterious and vicious (hehe) while also so goddamn funny. He had me laughing out loud in scenes that weren't supposed to be funny!

As for Rory, while I love her so much and understand why she did everything she did and my heart ached for her and her father, I just can't help but feel like her actions are a bit stupid (marrying Angelo's uncle that is). But she did what she thought was right and I can respect that.

I loved the whole family dynamic, especially between the three brothers and they somehow all won me over. I think the ending was a bit anticlimactic for me. I get what the author wanted to do because the war continues into the following books but I guess I just wanted a bit more action.

Definitely recommend reading this but check out the trigger warnings before you do!
