I found myself annoyed by the fact that Madison's mother was referred to a a strong woman. Strength is finding the courage to get out of an abusive relationship, not staying in it.
I felt that things were too easy for Madison. I know the character had been through some seriously bad stuff, but that was all referenced in the past and very little detail was given. Whilst I don't enjoy reading about that type of thing, I found myself unable to get fully involved with the characters.
Did enjoy the reference to places I know such as Coffs Harbour and Brisbane
