Tin Man by Sarah Winman

This story really tugs at the heart and is so very, very sad. It explores a lot of different raw emotions around love and loss and regret and friendship. The story is told in beautiful snippets of memory from the two different perspectives of Ellis and Michael, and the characters are just absolutely beautiful. The writing was vivid and beautiful and the characters were very well formed and felt fully human. I did find it hard to keep up with all the jumping around, as it is a non-linear narrative, and I felt like that could have been better executed. But a really solid read overall.
