My heart is a bit battered, but I have to say this book contains some beautiful writing.
I applaud E.K. Blair for tackling such difficult issues as the ones contained in this story, it certainly wasn’t light reading, and the subject matter was heavy, but our two main characters definitely had stories worth telling.
I’m sure I’ll think about this book for years to come, and for a new-to-me author I don’t know that I can give a greater compliment than that.
