I already loved Danny Trejo, as he is a staple in the Latino community. But listening to him read his book gave me such a new found respect for him. He had such a hard life, and he owns up to the decisions he made and his past. I honestly believe he was truly blessed— and there aren’t too many people like that walking around. He is such a generous, kind, humble and badass person, and his work with rehab patients is admirable and commendable. He is a true icon and I think it’s about time I introduce him to my kids.
