Lord John and the Private Matter by Diana Gabaldon

5.0

Continuing my rereading, it’s now 1757 and Lord John is back in London after checking how Jamie is doing at Helwater (as he’s on parole) and finds himself nervous about his cousin Olivia’s nuptials as he believes her husband-to-be is hiding the fact that he has the pox. Grey finds out it’s much more than that.

Reasons I Recommend:

1) A fun murder mystery and intrigue as Grey tries to get to the bottom of it with the help from Harry Quarry and his new eager valet, Tom Byrd

2) Lavender House and a look into the hidden underground of a male brothel where men go in disguise to be who they are, crossdress, and keep secrets illegal to society and

3) Grey solved the mystery, meets a German and a young man named Percy, and tries not to think about a tall redheaded Scotsman.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
