The Way of Beauty by Camille Di Maio
4.0

Normally, I’m not one to pay attention to how the book is written, but numerous times while reading this book I thought wow, this writing is beautiful.

The Way of Beauty if about two women growing up in different time period, and their quest to find love. Vera, the daughter of German immigrants, is in love with a man who turns out to be engaged to another women. When she unexpectedly becomes entwined in there lives, she has to figure out if this is the life she wants to continue living.

Years later, Alice, Vera’s daughter, is in love with two men. One man being safe and reliable, the other being someone she finds herself drawn to, but with some secrets Alice tries to figure out.

Historical Fiction is a fairly new genre for me. I typically read mystery/thriller novels, but I have found myself really enjoying the historical fiction books that I do read! The writing in this book was amazing and I just found myself fascinated by the lives of both Vera and Alice, and the struggles they were going through at that time. Highly recommend!
