All-Star Superman: DC Compact Comics Edition by Grant Morrison
2.0
This has aged like milk.
I’m assuming everyone who recommends this book hasn’t read it in the last 20 years because if you had you’d know that the dialogue is lacking, the characters are shallow, and the casual misogyny is enough to never make me nostalgic for the 00’s ever again.
Lois Lane is simply a plot device and used as sexual fodder for the male characters to argue over.
Superman isn’t charming; he’s an asshole.
I’m still stuck on how Lois was let into the fortress of solitude, saw some fucked shit, and the ONLY thought she had to ask a Superman FROM THE FUTURE is “will Superman and I ever marry and have children?!” be so for fucking real.
This was on page THREE of the first issue. And then for four pages after that it was three men talking about how they’re going to “win” her as she’s standing right there. Grant Morrison I hope you look back at this and cringe.
