5 He’ll Always Pick Her Stars!!
This is a fabulous start to a new series. I’ve visited Willow Branch Mountain in a previous book and was so excited when Ms. Montgomery announced she was writing an entire series about the Langston Family.
This book is Warren and Maisie’s story and it’s filled with love, hope, desire, second chances and a never ending passion. Maisie and Warren were best friends and high school sweethearts and they married right out of high school. Even though they wanted different things out of life, they were young and in love and were willing to do whatever it took to make their marriage a success. Until, things changed and sacrifices needed to be made. Hence why after seven years they’re still married with Warren refusing to sign the papers Maisie has been sending him over the years. So when she shows up at his door, Warren has a bargain for her…spend 7 days with him no questions asked and if at the end of the week, she still wants him to sign the papers he will. What Maisie underestimated was the lengths Warren would go to… he brought out all the stops!!
The minute I started listening to Aiden Snow and Savannah Peachwood narrate this book I was captivated hook, line and sinker. I loved Warren and his stubbornness. He’s not moved on from Maisie. So much so that he’s never even dated anyone. Maisie on the other hand, has dated and is now engaged and it’s imperative for Warren to sign these papers so whatever it takes is what she’ll do. This girl if filled with spunk and determination. What she wasn’t expecting was how she still felt about Warren. He completely infiltrated her heart in ways that were so different from when they were younger. I think the reason that Maisie started to fall back in love with Warren is because her fiancée isn’t all that and a bag of chips!
Warren is a man on a mission and I fully supported everything he was doing to win her back because it’s very clear they’re meant to have their happily ever after! His plan was well thought out and very successfully executed. The more time they spent together, the more their love was reignited. And their passion was explosive! But, as before, there are others that aren’t onboard with Warren and Maisie and the lengths they go to had me wide eyed!
But don’t count Warren out, because he’s not losing the love of his life again. I may have cackled with glee towards the end of the book LOL! This book was everything I love about Ms. Montgomery’s writing. She’s an expert at weaving a story that has me experience so many feelings and her choice of narrators is spot on for this book. I completely lost myself in their narration. I cannot wait for the next book in this series!!
