All Is Not Forgotten by Wendy Walker

3.0

At first I was like "Ugh, this smug, elitist, manipulative bastard narrating..."
But, realized why he was like that at the very end. Then I understood.
A teenage girl is brutally raped. Her parents agree to a medical procedure that will erase all memory of the attack.
Anyone can see why that would be a good option from a parents perspective. You want to protect your kids at all cost. Even from themselves.
But what happened to her having a say? Again, her voice is silenced.
From there we learn about the girl (Jenny), her parents (Tom and Charlotte) and their therapist.
Not being able to remember is beyond hard on Jenny. She wants and needs to be able to.
What follows is a red herrings and a lot of lies.
It was an interesting book. I was racing through it towards the end.
I would recommend.
