Artie and the Wolf Moon by Olivia Stephens

I was looking for something to read and this was being featured on Libby so I thought why not try it out. I thought the art was great and the story was interesting. I also enjoyed the twist on vampires and werewolves in this. I think the emphasis on the importance of community was great. I really liked Artie as a character and her relationship with her mom was fantastic. Also there is a sapphic relationship between Artie and a girl who is part of a family her mother was close to and who they are reconnecting with. That relationship does start as a friendship and eventually leads to a romance. There were some moments that felt a bit too long and then others that went by a bit too quick. Overall, I really liked this one and great for both middle grade and non-middle grade readers.
