Most of my opinion stems from spoilers, but lets just say that the bad parts of the last books got worse in this one.
Sloane gets even more infantilazed, which I am not happy about.
We also still don't know why the cult has been doing things. "To become immortal" or whatever doesn't hold water. You're telling me that this cult existed for centuries (which is already odd because usually cults are focused on a leading figurehead and that person would have died after 200 years. I found this very unsatisfying.
The fact that someone has to again be kidnapped to figure everything out. You lost at that point, your abilities weren't enough. It is not as interesting to debate how they will be "deus ex machina'd out of this situation".
All in all, not bad, it is enjoyable to read, but it was the weakest one out of the series.
