Glad I kept going with the series.  This is a fun popcorn action fancy fantasy sort of story.  It doesn't always make entire sense, and here at the end it tries a bit too hard to be flowery about what's going on.  The most disappointing part is probably how obviously this series either grew past the scope of a trilogy or the author just got tired of writing it.  There's probably a whole other book worth of plot points and dropped threads that get the dues ex machina treatment to wrap everything up neat.
