Paper Towns
by John Green
Having only read the one John Green book before I didn’t really know what to expect from this book, the only other I’d read was The Fault in Our Stars which broke my heart. I was pretty sure this book wasn’t going to quite beat TFIOS but it did put up a pretty good fight. I instantly fell in love with the character of Margo Roth Spiegelman her free spirit and love to travel made her instantly interesting. I also found a lot of the subject matter very interested and spent a while after completing the book reading up on the mentioned paper towns. If i had to find in a fault in this book I would say I felt like the ending was very rushed. We seemed to have this huge build up as we find loads of clues and then a big mammoth journey (I did like the way that was structured!) but then BAM they find her and she doesn’t want to come home, cool: the end. I just kind of wish there had been a bit more to but that’s just me.
