Macarthur by Bob Ong

5.0

Macarthur's rate of returning five stars exhibits my vigorous recommendation for the book. This should be read by everyone residing in the Philippines simply because all the conflicts touched still display relevance in today's generation. My high recommendation targets high school and college students as they are the ones currently in transition of becoming part of the society. This book will surely provide additional guidance.

The strengths of the book are its convenient writing style - making it a complete page-turner, magnificent representation of societal illnesses as conflicts, tackling various issues like drugs, poverty, lack of education, unemployment, murder, and corruption - with its thought-generating ending, all these were effectively emphasized, and lastly, splendid interblend of positive and negative outcomes. The only weakness I found concerns the title despite understanding its underlying means.
