Reading this during a global pandemic was either the best idea or the worst idea, but probably both. It reaffirmed and broadened my understanding of class war and the evils of capitalism by systematically showing how the same bullshit has been happening since the beginning of our nation (and obviously well before that). So, gross - the rich get richer, the working class struggles, the poor get screwed. All of this has happened before and all of this will happen again. BUT! People have always fought back and tried to make things better. So, amazing! If we keep close to our people and help each other out, we will get through this catastrophe, just like all the ones before. Thanks for taking me on a rollercoaster of depression and hope Mr. Zinn.
