The book itself was a long walk, sheesh was it long! I think in places it sort of dragged, I had wished Mandela would have sped through some of it, but there is so much good in this story. I had a lot of preconceived notions of who he was challenged - I had known him as the nonviolent resistance type but he was far more radical than that. It was a lot to wrestle with but I learned so dang much from this book!
