Pageboy by Elliot Page
4.0
informative fast-paced

i didn’t really grow up knowing much about elliot page. i knew vaguely about Juno (was my friend’s favorite movie but i’d never seen it) but my only experience with his acting career is Umbrella Academy. so to read about his history with gender and growing up feeling so isolated while being in the spotlight for a generation so close-minded and bitter was deeply… moving? that’s not even the right word. heavy, might be a better description. i do not understand how anyone could ever have treated him in such cruel ways and i wish better for him. i truly hope he’s more comfortable and finding a happier life with people who love him.

the only reason i took a star off is because his writing was very confusing. it was a bit jumbled and all over the place, a bit hard to follow. also he talks about shitting way too much.

but overall i highly recommend this memoir.
