Pleasantly surprised by Salinger's acute self-awareness and oddly relatable insights. Zooey and Franny, while pretentious and obnoxious are fully fleshed out and endearing in this exploration of American society, academia, religion, disillusionment and coming into one's self marking this a new favorite of mine.
