The Problem With Falling by Brittainy C. Cherry
medium-paced

“Sometimes I think love is a curse.” “Yeah,” he agreed. “But what a beautiful fucking curse it can be.”
I went into this book knowing it was going to be good and it still completely blew my expectations out of the water. This book is FANTASTIC!! In typical Brittainy Cherry fashion there are heavy topics but what comes with that is so much humor that I had tears from laughing so hard. This book now contains one of my favorite scenes of ALL TIME. All I gotta say is Matt Turner is a freaking legend. 🤣💀 The moment I knew this book was going to absolutely break me is when I realized his grandparents have chapters 😭 giiiirrrlll the way I instantly teared up when I got to the first one. There is just something about a grumpy a-hole that is super close to his grandparents and calls his grandpa “papa” that just has my heart melting. Theo and Willow’s chemistry was outstanding and the way she was so patient with him when he couldn’t get his words out 🥺 I took my time reading this one because I didn’t want it to end. Everytime I would pick it back up all those emotions and feelings sparked right back up as if I never stopped read it. I cried, I sobbed and I laughed so hard I cried. Every single emotion was felt while reading this book. I love their love so much but I really really loved Theo’s grandparents love. People always say how sweet “young love” is but there is something about “old love” that just gets me in the feels. These people chose each other and continued to for 60 years 😭 I’m excited to have that with my husband 🥰 Hands down this is my favorite Brittainy Cherry book to date!
“I think Theo has the biggest heart of all the people I know. And I think ever since he was a kid, it’s been breaking in big ways.”
