Auntie Poldi and the Sicilian Lions by Mario Giordano
2.0
Auntie Poldi is an eccentric Bavarian woman who takes up residence in a small Sicilian town. When her young handyman goes missing Poldi is determined to get to the bottom of the mystery. A large part of the story is narrated to her nephew who is writing a novel. This made the narrative somewhat clumsy. There were some quirky characters and moments of humour and the characters may grow in interest as the series progresses. Not sure, though, that I was left with a burning desire to persevere with this series.
