The fact that, from what I understand, the Netflix show completely omits one of the book’s two MAIN CHARACTERS (Wang) says a lot. In this book full of flat and empty characters, Wang is the flattest,  emptiest and most useless and yet we’re stuck with him for the duration. This book is an absolute mess with some interesting ideas in it. Skip it and watch the show.

Also, wtf happened to Wang’s wife and kid?
