This book has a 2015 copyright. The subplot, about the police, entering the wrong home without announcing themselves, killing a resident, and then bringing charges against the remaining living resident for harm that befell an officer during their wrongful raid was a little... well, balls on accurate. #BreonnaTaylor At least the cops in this book had some recompense... still waiting for justice for Breonna.
