Spoiler I found this series by chance and I will say most series tend to disappoint me the longer they carry on but this one seems to continually get better with each book! Now it's appearing that Kat is dead and Maribella must die for the fog to stop its forward motion on the island which would leave Arsinoe to fight against her best friend who has seemed to go crazy from the legion curse. I do not see this series having a happy ending but I cannot wait to get to the next book and see how it all ends! The series is not only an easy read but extremely well written. I like that the chapters go by what is happening in each area and thus often insight into what each queen is thinking/going through personally as the events unfold.
